Today was somewhat of a landmark in the transition from the CAA to the LAA issueing Factory Built Gyro permit revalidations.
Mr Malcolm Jorgensen (Caa) Mr Ken Craigie (LAA) David Fairbrass (Cheif Inspector LAA) and myself (Supplying G-PAFF and manuals etc) all met this morning at Graveley Airfield.
The purpose of this meeting was for the CAA to assess the LAA's progress with proposed inspection procedures and for all parties to ensure that all elements necessary are either in place or thought through well enough to finalise.
There is another similar revalidation inspection and meeting in the north towards the end of the month. Subject to the outcome of this the devolution process at the CAA will enter its final phase. All agreed that subject to all being agreed at or by the next meeting, the revalidation process should be handled by the LAA by June.
