Yet to be confirmed but we have it on good authority that the 500mil CAA Southern Chart for 2017 has several active glider Sites marked as disused Airfields.

UPOTTERY HANG-GLIDING SITE (505305N 0030921W)
WETHERSFIELD GLIDING SITE (515824N 0003036E)

BURN GLIDING SITE (534445N 0010504W)
DRIFFIELD HANG-GLIDING SITE (535942N 0002857W)

I can confirm that the electronic VFR charts that are supplied to companies such as SkyDemon and RunwayHD will be amended. In addition to the mitigations of these electronic charts and NOTAM, the AIM Regulator team is looking to put out a press notice warning of the charting error.

Notams are valid for 90 days so these would be renewed to cover the entire year.

Perranporth and the Scilly Isles

On the weekend of June 24th and 25th, the BRA are holding a Fly In at Perranporth Airfield. Camping on the Saturday night and landing fees aRE JUST £15.00 PER AIRCRAFT.

For those that want to venture further we are discussing a hop to the Scilly Isles although sadly it may not be possible to do this on the Sunday. More info to follow
